Job Description

Position: SEND Classroom Support Location: Multi-Academy Trust schools across East and South BirminghamAgency Overview:Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, is committed to connecting passionate educators with schools and educational institutions. By joining us, youll have the chance to collaborate with various schools and educational environments, offeringessential support to children with disabilities.Key Responsibilities as SEND Classroom Support:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with disabilities in diverse classroom settings.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and address the learning needs of each student.
  • Assist with behavior management and implement strategies to foster positive behavior.
  • Cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and included.
  • Observe and document student progress, communicating findings to the teaching team and parents when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
  • Genuine passion for working with children with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different educational settings.
  • Valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
