Job Description

Claims AdjusterSA/BCR/10499BirminghamFull Time£38,000Our client is an Insurance Management Company who are looking for an experienced and motivated Claims Adjuster to join their Birmingham-based claims team.Claims Adjuster Responsibilities:

  • Updating claims files, through accurately acquiring and capturing claims data
  • Following all Claims compliance procedures and regulations, both nationally and internationally
  • Assessing damages, through calculations of applicable damage within the range of the law
  • Negotiating claims settlements, by implementing appropriate negotiation strategy
  • Ensuring high levels of customer service by communicating information proactively and responding to queries from clients
  • Being vigilant of any solicit or incorrect information and reporting any fraudulent activity
  • Acting as a technical expert for own team, as well as possibly attending Policyholder meetings
Ideal Claims Adjuster Profile:
  • Ideally CII/CILA/or degree level equivalent qualifications
  • An understanding of appropriate technical issues and knowledge of the industry that is up to date
  • Possess strong negotiation skills, evidence of being able to handle claims in regulated environments
  • Effective at both coaching and developing others, as well as sharing own knowledge
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, whilst being approachable and responsive
  • A proactive and progressive approach, being willing to accept, look for, and implement improvements
  • Able to recognise own limitations and seek support when needed
