Job Description

Casualty SolicitorDefendantEL/PLNQ - 2 years PQEBirminghamI am currently working with an award-winning national Top 45 firm who are looking to expand their Casualty team by recruiting a NQ Solicitor or an experienced Legal Executive to join their Birmingham office.The successful candidate will be joining a team who are experts in defending EL and PL claims, public sector claims, and claims against emergency services. The successful candidate will also be working close with the Partner directly to assist with Social Carecases.The Casualty Solicitors duties will include:

  • Assisting a partner and team with caseload handling of claims against the local authorities as well as EL/PL and litigation.
  • Some document heavy work or preparing Inquests or Public Inquiries.
  • Understand and advise on areas of law which may include duty of care, human rights, defamation, and data/information law.
  • Achieve targets for both billing and billing hours.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in managing caseloads for EL/PL casualty claims (essential).
  • Experience in handling their own caseload.
  • Passion and drive to learn.
