Job Description

Our client, based in Birmingham, is currently recruiting for a Care Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start in August on a full time basis. The annual salary is negotiable based on experience for this position and qualifications.The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing a care home, or alternatively have worked in a deputy position looking for the next step.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Overseeing the management of a 42 bed care home for elderly residents
  • Managing all staff members including Domestic Nurses, Cleaners, Drug Handlers and Handymen
  • Dealing with every aspects of managing the care home including the maintenance of budgets
  • Maintaining the profitability of the Care Home at all times
  • Completing regular CQC reports and ensuring the Care Home remains within regulations
  • Attending supervisions, including visiting elderly people in hospital before they are due to move to the care home
  • Liaising with external providers of support where necessary
  • Attending meetings with external partners if required
  • Experience required:
  • Previous experience as a Care Home Manager, or a Deputy Manager looking to take a step up
  • Registered Nurse of NVQ Level 5
  • Ability to pass a CQC Registrations
  • Skills, knowledge and expertise (add/delete as appropriate) required:
  • Confident in working on Microsoft Word and Excel to a high level
  • Working hours (add/delete as appropriate):
  • 40 hours per week
  • Hours can be flexible, however some weekend work may be required
