It also provides an opportunity to build strong and effective working relationships with colleagues across Finance, Treasury, Risk and Audit in order to ensure the Groups Capital is remains sufficient, and stress testing impacts are understoodand embedded through the business.We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to head up our Capital Analysis team. Reporting into the Senior Manager Capital Optimisation, the role holder will be responsible for managing and supporting the development of the ICAAP and BoE ACS/SSTas well as Regulatory horizon scanning operations. As a key part of their role, they will play a lead role in the scoping and production of the ICAAP Macroeconomic scenarios and Sensitivities, and the Reverse Stress Test.This role in a nutshell/ Day to day youll be doing:

  • Co-ordination of, and responsibility for, the ICAAP processes including:
    • Overall responsibility for co-ordination of the ICAAP.
    • Lead development and analysis on ICAAP macroeconomic scenarios, ensuring these are in line with Prudential requirements and best practice.
    • Preparation of the ICAAP results and analysis.
    • Lead and support development of the annual Reverse Stress Test and ICAAP sensitivities.
    • Lead documentation of the Final ICAAP.
    • Provide insightful analysis to support the approval of the ICAAP through the various governance stages, from Stress Testing Committee and Asset & Liability Committee, through to final Board approval.
  • Input to the Bank of Englands Annual Cyclical Scenario (ACS) processes including:
    • Preparation ACS stress testing results and analysis.
    • Documentation of stress testing results including Basis of Preparation and analysis packs to support the detailed Governance process.
    • Lead and assist with template completion.
  • Understanding regulatory impacts (e.g. PRA / Basel III) on the Groups capital position and stressed forecasts.
  • Supporting development of capital allocation and optimisation methodologies
  • Ensuring compliance with Spreadsheet Policy.
Youll have responsibility for a team of three and the team will be required to pull together complex and often disparate information from various sources to identify key risks and provide valued advice. They will become known for the quality and value oftheir analysis.To be successful for this role youll have/ Youll need to bring
  • Understanding of Capital and Stress Testing requirements.
  • Financial Professional Qualification and/or experience in Capital (ICAAP or Stress Testing), or Prudential Risk/Oversight would be highly advantageous
  • Detailed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate clearly, often to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills capable of developing their own team and building a stakeholder network throughout the business.
  • Well-crafted verbal and written communication skills, with experience in report writing and analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend complex issues and develop an in-depth understanding.
  • Ability to review and assess the impacts from Regulatory updates.
  • Strong MS Excel and Powerpoint skills.
