Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a top 50 Law Firm, who are looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to join their team based in the Birmingham area.JOB DETAILS* PAY RATE: £40,000 per annum* WORK TYPE: Permanent * WORK PATTERN: Full Time* LOCATION: BirminghamJOB SUMMARYThis new position, which will report to the companys Head of Procurement & Finance Operations, will assist the achievement of the companys objective to be a market leader in customer experience. JOB DESCRIPTION* Organise and manage commercial talks while building buying milestone plans and working with support departments to launch and complete procurement projects in accordance with the procurement policy.* Take the initiative in procurement initiatives to make sure that the supplier selection and appointment process has an audit record.* Working with the support functions, make sure that current contracts and requirements are timely renewed or put up for competition and offer the company the greatest value.* Find new opportunities for cost reduction, and lead initiatives as needed to make them happen.* RFx document drafting and supplier selectionTHE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE* Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a solid command of Word and PowerPoint.* It would be beneficial to have experience with ERP, finance, and buy order systems.* Experience working with suppliers to reach a favourable result for all sides in a practical and commercial manner* Understanding of the procurement process, including the criteria, the sourcing plan, the selection procedures, and the contract writing* The company will finance your education if you are qualified or willing to work towards MCIPS certification.Please be advised that only candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required for this role will be shortlisted and submitted to our client for review.HOW TO APPLYHit the APPLY button or contact Josh Savage at Tempting Recruitment NOW.
