Cove Recruitment are proud to be hiring for one of the UKs leading industrial distribution specialists.Having gone through significant modernisation in all aspects of the business, our client is now seeking a Buyer to ensure the success of the past is continued into future generations.The RoleWorking in a fast paced, friendly company with a flexible approach to the working day - you will find our client offers a great place to work.With a committed, knowledgeable team, you will be supported in your role and forge a solid career with like minded work colleagues.You will be a key member of the team managing a multi-million-pound annual spend across hundreds of suppliers with a diverse range of products including PPE, Tooling, Consumables, Chemicals, Lifting Equipment, Janitorial, Maintenance, Measuring Equipment,Power Tools, Workwear, Welding Equipment and many more.Daily tasks will include (but are not limited too):
  • Forging lasting relationships with suppliers and their representatives
  • Seeking out new opportunities e.g. brands to distribute, new cost-effective ranges etc
  • Weekly stock re-order run
  • Ordering daily ad-hoc requirements
  • Reviewing ongoing queries e.g., prices increases and discrepancies
  • Liaising with all areas of the company to support and evolve processes
  • Data generation for feedback to the management team (e.g. supplier spend analysis, top item spend etc)
  • Frequent meetings with the management team to deliver data supporting business progression
The kind of person you areYou will be experienced in the purchase of consumables. You will be an outstanding communicator, confident, driven and a logical thinker. Analytical, collaborative and calm under pressure. Able to lead and direct a small team.Lets take a look at the package
