Job Description

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.Job Title:Business Development Manager - ApprenticeshipsLocation:Home/Office based - Must be flexible with travelSalary:up to£33,000 (OTE £55K)Type:Full-time, Permanent roleEssential Criteria:

  • The successful Business Development Manager must hold proven experience of securing new business and growing existing business (B2B/B2C) - ideally within the education sector.
  • Ideally hold relevant industry knowledge,with an understanding of Apprenticeship funding criteria and ability togive advice on Levy spending.
  • Commercially aware, with proven experience of generating own employer leads, negotiating / winning and closing new business.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
The Role;
  • Proactively identify and engage with businesses, topromote our clients offering of Apprenticeship and professional qualifications.
  • Working in a consultative way, to create new business and develop existing business relationships.
  • Working towards and achieving targets linked to growth and revenue.
  • Attend meetings with decision makers to discuss their training and recruitment needs.
  • Give advice and support to employers regarding the Apprenticeship Levy and future funding reforms.
  • Undertake Organisational Needs Analysis and design / develop training plans to meet employer’s needs.
  • Keep up to date with competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities.
  • Ensure employer environments comply with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales deadlines.
  • Cross sell other products, seizing all opportunities to offer clients a well-rounded service.

  • Time management and organisational skills.
