Job Description

About this business:For more than seventy years our client has been a world leader in the engineering, design, and manufacture of quality electro-mechanical equipment in the engineering and manufacturing market sectors. This well-established business has over 400 employeesworldwide and is a truly global entity.About of Role:Working remotely as the Regional Distribution Manager for Southern England & Wales in the Spray Equipment Division, youll seek and recruit Dealers and Distributors, drive sales of products, and foster relationships with industry partners. Your goalis to grow sales and introduce new products in your territory.Activities:You will manage your time and territory effectively, including internal office work, prospecting, sales activities, and visits. Key activities include finding and qualifying new prospective distributors, setting up first-time appointments, conductingcompetitor intelligence research, and participating in trade shows and exhibitions.Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing distributors in Southern England & Wales.
  • Using company tools to log meetings and maintain stakeholder contacts.
  • Capturing customer intelligence and ensuring our products stay competitive.
  • Generating and converting sales leads.
  • Building relationships within the organisation.
  • Providing technical support.
  • Contributing to sales planning.
Youll be accountable for:
  • Meeting annual sales quotas.
  • Developing long-term distribution partners.
  • Managing dealer and distributor Agreements.
  • Executing global sales and marketing programs.
  • Reporting progress and trends to management.
Experience:A minimum of 2 years of external distribution sales experience in a target-driven environment. Previous experience in technical sales, strong B2B sales and relationship selling, and experience in building/solution sales are essential.Familiarity with spray-painting coating equipment sales and knowledge of automotive and industrial coating markets, including wood, plastics, marine, aerospace, and transport, is a plus.Understanding the Heavy Industrial and Protective Coatings market sectors is desirable.Skills & Competencies:
  • Fluent in English speaking and written communication
  • Ability and desire to find new customers, new markets, and strategic end-users.
  • Must be comfortable demonstrating and training dealers and distributors on selling and using spray painting equipment.
  • Group presentation skills.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Strong sales/commercial skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Software literate, using Microsoft 365 suite: Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
