Job Description

Business development manager - (electronic security)On Target Earnings Year One £52k.Basic Salary up to £31,000company car includedThe Business development manager role is based in the North of England.Working location is split between home and on-the-road (lots of driving to construction sites to win business)1/2 day a fortnight in the Manchester-based officeA typical working week looks like:using the database to identify new building sites that require security.setting your appointments, phone / emaildriving to your appointments and selling the benefits of electronic security / demo the kit / discuss pricing / build relationships...whilst in the area - scope out additional local opportunitieswrite up quotes and follow the sale to its conclusion (updating the CRM as you go)complete the sale - collect your sales commission (paid monthly)This role includes a lot of driving, as face to face is essential for successful sales in this industry.more details below...The successful applicant will have a proven track record of two or more years in a face-to-face direct field sales role. They will possess the ability to generate calls, appointments, cold call, establish a pipeline, meetand exceed targets.They will be highly motivated with the ability to communicate at all levels and have a strong desire to succeed. They will have a proven sales driven attitude with a no fear attitude to cold calling, both on the phone and face to face. They will possessemotional intelligence, with the ability to present, pitch, negotiate and close.Experience of selling into tier one main contractors is desirable but not essential. Having a solid understanding of the technical aspects of remotely monitored CCTV Systems is also ideal but not essential as full training will be given.Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Selling monitored CCTV systems and Access Control solutions to tier one main contractors within the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Develop long term relationships with new and existing clients in the UK.
  • Visiting customer sites to perform site surveys.
  • Management of pipeline to include weekly / monthly forecasts.
  • Resurrect historic lapsed accounts.
  • Regular tele-sales to generate appointments.
  • Cold calling on construction sites to generate interest.
  • Providing quotations to new and existing customers.
  • Updating CRM system, use Barbour ABI to gather information.
  • Achieve targets as agreed with the Sales Director and Managing Director.
This position is not dependent on the geographical residence of the candidate.Excellent package and exclusive use of company car.Full training and support with technical aspect of CCTV and Access Control.On Target Earnings Year One 52 k.Basic Salary £31 200.00 (£15.00 per hour, 40- hour week.) Plus, commission, OTE 52 k.Commission based on 2% of sale value.Office and homeworking combined and flexible.Full driving license.Experience of direct face to face sales into tier one main contractors in construction.Experience of telesales and cold calling.The CompanyOur client are a leading provider of bespoke CCTV and Access Control Solutions to the UK Construction Industry.
