Job Description

We are seeking experienced, motivated and ambitious Business Development Executives for our client, promoting the services they offer to new and existing clients. This role will be home based with occasional travel.You will primarily be working with warm leads, speaking to existing clients and companies who have had engagement with this organisation. You will predominantly be promoting and selling professional training courses, but could also be involved in identifyingnew membership opportunities and upgrades to existing membership, as well as other consultancy sales opportunities.We are looking for candidates with previous experience in sales, customer service and/or recruitment; ideally with experience working in a non-scripted sales role.My client has been established for over 120 years and is the UKs leading trade body focused on the Manufacturing and Engineering Sector. They offer a range of professional services and work with a broad range of businesses, including world-renowned, blue-chipcompanies.The RoleThe role of BDE is to achieve sales through a consultative approach on a national basis. The role will focus on HR and HSS subscription and commercial products for new and existing clients, as well as any other service line required. The target market willbe medium to large sized organizations from 400 to 1000 headcount.You will be responsible for:

  • The development and management of a sales plan
  • Achieving sales targets and KPIs. Taking complete ownership and responsibility
  • Use of phone, email and technology to engage with clients with occasional travel.
  • Identifying potential sales opportunities
  • Regularly update and monitor CRM systems
  • Excellent communication between internal and external stakeholders around lead management and progress
  • Prospect and managing the sales process to achieve new sales leads
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly reports, forecasts or other as requested
  • Promote new digital products and services across existing account portfolio
Skills and experience:
  • A demonstrable track record of success in B2B sales to new and existing clients to secure business
  • High levels of tenacity, robustness and drive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and trust over the phone or face to face
  • Ability to speak with potential customers in a business conversation rather than as a scripted/transactional call and to understand their requirements
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with data sources to plan activity and ensure sales pipelines are accurate
  • Has a genuine passion for the delivery of first class customer service
  • Self-motivated with a drive to succeed
