Job Description

Your new roleThe role is working in a busy financial transactions team carrying out a range of processing and administrative duties to support the efficient payment of Highways England supplier invoices. You will also be completing a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration. What youll be leading on

  • Processing transactions in our Oracle Fusion Accounting system following defined procedures and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Working closely with colleagues from both within the immediate transactions team and other areas of the business to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Being aware of the importance of key performance targets and supporting the team in making sure that they are met at all times
  • Supporting line management in seeking to ensure continuous improvement in how the team operates
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers from both within and outside the company
  • To be successfulEvidence of good time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively where workloads are busy* Ability to follow instructions and work flexibly * Experience of working well within a team* Evidence of good IT skills* Good organisational skills and attention to detail* Willingness to learn and develop broader skills and knowledge * Minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A* to C or equivalentA bit about usHighways England are responsible for operating, maintaining and improving Englands motorways and major A roads.
