MBA are excited to be working with a leading insurance organisation, assisting their search for an experienced Building Surveyor.Due to continuing growth our client is looking for a Building Surveyor with experience in commercial building losses based in the Midlands to support their network of field adjusters.This role could be either office based (Birmingham) or home-based for candidates with the required level of experience.The ideal candidate will have in depth experience ideally gained through working in the loss adjusting sector although insurance sector experience would be acceptable.Typical duties would include* To provide technical advice and guidance on commercial building losses * Undertaking initial investigation, and projecting building re-instatement costs* Provide technical reports to adjusters on building defects and policy cover* Manage own portfolio of specialist claims including subsidence and building warranty work* Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communication* Calculating and agreeing settlement of claims and preparing specialist aspects of reports or final reportsPlease forward an updated copy of your CV in the first instance
