A brand new Blend Operator role has opened up for a world renowned paint manufacturing business at their site based in Aston.This role will be the second Blend Operator in the warehouse and has been created as they are growing and will be moving to a bigger site later this year (still based locally).Despite working for a global business with 1000+ staff in the UK, this site is a small, tight knit team of 5 currently.Salary = Circa £22,000 per annumBenefits = Experienced team around you, scope for progression to supervisro, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, parking on siteThe main responsibilities of this role is to tint colour paints and lacquers according to given recipe and schedules. You will also be involved in unloading deliveries to site so do need to be physically capable for the role.Duties: Tinting the materials according the given recipe. Report the mistakes if occurred. Retain samples and to keep batch wise data for future references. Keeping working place and the surroundings tidy. Maintaining the machinery (Sirio HH, UV mixers, shakers) clean and in working condition. Report faulty equipment to Operation manager. Help the Warehouse Clerk to load/unload the incoming or outgoing trucks, Maintenance of safe operating procedures through complete knowledge of safety rules and lab procedures. Coach and mentor less experienced workers to help them use production equipment or resolve problems. Conduct projects from design through implementation by effectively organising, planning, delegating, coordinating. Collect the empty tare to the designated area. Load the tare to recycle companys truck. Loading the customers goods manually. Loading the customers goods with gas forklift if necessary. Reworking/adjusting the returned materials from customers. Operating the Corob tinting machine. Maintaining the Corob machine. Delivering goods to the customer with the company car if necessary.The ideal candidate: Previous experience in coating or paint industry Previous experience in operating blending/tinting machinery High level of accuracy Adaptable and willing to chip in and help out other staff Ideally have a full driving license but isnt essential Ideally have a FLT license but isnt essentialTherefore if you have the relevant experience, would be interested in progressing to supervisor level down the line and are based locally to Aston then please apply.
