Job Title: BI DeveloperSalary: £40-50kWorking Model: Hybrid/BirminghamWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BI Developer to join our clients team. As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for the entire end-to-end process, transforming raw data into meaningful insights and driving data-driven decision-making acrossthe organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Power BI, DAX, Azure, and ETL processes. Additionally, experience with JSON and building 3D models and data sets would be highly desirable.Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will drive business performance and inform strategic decision-making.
2. Database Management: Design, develop, and maintain robust databases to store and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
3. Data Modelling: Create logical and physical data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval, and provide scalability for future growth.
4. Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL): Develop ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it to meet business requirements, and load it into the data warehouse.
5. Data Visualisation: Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI to enable stakeholders to understand complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
6. Performance Optimisation: Identify and implement performance optimisation techniques to enhance the efficiency and speed of data retrieval and processing.
7. Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks, data cleansing, and data validation processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists, to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques related to data analysis and business intelligence, and proactively suggest improvements to existing processes and workflows.
10. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data models, data flows, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure data governance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven 3+ years experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Expertise in Power BI for data visualisation and reporting
• Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex calculations and measures
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Data Lake
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and best practices
• Knowledge of JSON and experience with building 3D models and data sets is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
