This job is within the newly funded Maternal Mental Health Service where BSol is an early implementer site for this exciting new initiative. The service will be funded to provide a psychology led service providing psychologically informed support to the maternity pathways. Focusing on perinatal loss and birth trauma, the work will cover supervision and training within maternity, developing trauma informed pathways and providing a clinical service to identify and respond to gaps in provision. The service will be embedded with values of co-production and tacking health inequalities.The MMHS will be part of the wider Perinatal Mental Health Service which provides a multi-disciplinary, regional service to treat mothers with mental health problems, both during pregnancy and in the first year post-partum. There is a community inreach/outreach team as well as the 10 bedded inpatient Mother and Baby Unit at the Barberry.
