Job Description

AV Installation Commission EngineerLocation: Birmingham city centreSalary: £27k - £35kHybrid Working -with travel, based on project priorities and team supportCX Squared have partnered with a PropTech firm whose core values underpin the reasons why they can retain, engage and attract some of the best AV and Commissioning talent in Birmingham and have built a reputable name in the technology solutions scene.Due to winning new projects and clients and some exciting investment, 2023 plans to be a year of growth and expansion starting with some new additions to their AV and Commissioning team.This role will suit someone coming from a Sound, lighting or AV background, where they have been the main person responsiblie for the building and installing of intricate solutions.If you have experience with AMX or similar audio and AV technology and hardware solutions then this could be up your street. Due to the nature of the Audio visual systems and solutions you are building in the property space, you could even come from a HVACbackground.The company have a test lab and full-stocked production room in their site and therefore you will ensure that these silutions are built from scratch and that all systems are correct and engineered to the companies high standards.When the project and system is built, you will help teach the client on how the solutions work and provide them with the right level of customer service as is expected from the values of the business.Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

  • Installing AV / Audio Visual solutions
  • Working with Networking cables and hardware
  • Working collaboratively with the Projects team on updates and issues
  • Documenting all equipment and hardware serial numbers and protocols
  • Ensuring testing and quality assurance of all tech before commissioning commences
  • Moving hardware and equipment onsite and between offices.
Essential Skills include:
  • Experience working on mounting systems which can include fastening and fixing.
  • Installation of AV / Audio Visual solutions which can include sound, IT and lighting.
  • Experience of AMX or Creston or other similar AV systems.
  • Experience of working on drawings but installation and building.
