Job Description

Our client is a large, national audit, tax, advisory and risk firm. Due to recent growth, they are now looking for a full-time Senior Associate to join the Audit/Assurance team and take responsibility for the delivery of audit work for clients, as well assupporting more advisory projects.About the roleThis role would suit a qualified and knowledgeable candidate, looking to develop themselves and support the success of a business team. Reporting to the Manager and Partners, the Senior Associatewill take the lead on managing audit assignments and engagingwith clients on results, issues and solutions.Key aspects of the role include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for our clients on a day-to-day basis;
  • Assisting in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review, providing solutions and seeking input for areas of concern and judgement;
  • Undertaking business development work to identify additional sales opportunities;
  • Researching on solutions to issues on client assignments;
  • Identifying areas requiring improvement in the clients business processes, providing recommendations and prepare and deliver Audit Findings Reports;
  • Taking primary responsibility for monitoring progress against budget;
  • Providing skills and knowledge training to junior team members on audit topics and capabilities, as well as providing constructive feedback and support.
The ideal personThe ideal candidate will be qualified through ACA, ACCA or CA, with significant audit and accounting experience - ideally UKGAAP. They will also have a good knowledge of working with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.The person will be able to deliver high-quality work effectively and efficiently, and be committed to making a difference to clients. They will have the ability to lead a team of junior staff, and to provide technical analysis and solutions for clients.
