Audit & Accounts Director - Birmingham Highly Competitive & Equity PotentialThis is an excellent opportunity to join a large regional mid-tier practice based in Birmingham who are looking for an Audit & Accounts Associate Director or Audit Director (RI).Supporting the Partners, as an Audit & Accounts Associate Director or Director will be responsible for the following;Taking on responsibility for a significant portfolio of large, technically complex and large SMEs and OMBs from a range of industry sectors Manage the end to end audit process, including budgets and timescalesResponsible for day-to-day staff planning, ensuring the right level of technically qualified staff are booked on to client work for the appropriate amount of timeCarry out review work on accounts and other assignments prepared by Managers and team membersAssisting the managers with providing feedback to team members as well as assistance with conducting appraisalsManage certain corporate clients which fall outside the audit threshold, including those with more complex issues and requiring higher levels of ad-hoc work, i.e. cash flow forecasting, management accounts productionClose liaison with the internal tax department and the ability to deal with tax computations and corporation tax issuesAssist partners & directors in ad hoc project work including corporate finance assignments (due diligence, AIM listings, MBOs, raising finance etc.)Business development activities and winning work by proactively managing existing clients and targeting new audit and non-audit clients. Involvement in formal and informal pitching proceduresThe local Birmingham office is commutable from areas all across the West Midlands area; Edgbaston, Oldbury, Stourbridge, Worcester, Redditch, Solihull, Bromsgrove etc.ACA/ CA/ ACCA qualifiedResponsible Individual RI Status is an advantage Up-to-date technical knowledge (UK GAAP, IFRS’s, ISAs, Companies Act legislation)For further information on this role please contact Rich Clark at Clark Wood
