Job Description

Associate Director - Sustainability & ESGBrimingham Competitive Starting Salary + Benefits Ref: SH1612We at Penguin Recruitment are currently working with a progressive architecture and civil engineering practice, as they look to add an Associate Director to lead and grow their Sustainability Team in the West Midlands. You will be joining an award-winningpractice with offices in Birmingham and Nottingham, and with projects across the UK.We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Associate Director level candidate to join and grow the Sustainability and ESG team. Some of the duties of this role will include:

  • Leading and growing the Sustainability Teams presence in the West Midlands area
  • ESG Governance and Analysis
  • Completing Energy and Sustainability Statements for Planning
  • Conducting Life-Cycle Assessments
  • Energy Assessor (Part L SAP/SBEM)
  • Assisting with BREEAM assessments as required
To be considered for this Associate Director position, you will ideally:
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable of sustainability issues including current and future legislation (e.g., NZC, Carbon Offsetting, Circular Economy, London Plan, etc.)
  • Have experience with ESG and NZC
  • Have experience across a number of sectors, such as industrial, logistics, retail, offices, residential, and mixed-use)
  • Hold a Bachelor or Masters qualification in relevant field
  • WELL AP (preferable)
  • LCC/LCEA Qualified (preferable)
  • Be a Chartered Member of a relevant Professional Body (e.g., IEMA, EI, RIBA, CIOB)
