This is an ideal role for someone wanting to continue their career in underwriting as we arehiring an Assistant Underwriter to support our underwriters across the multi-line package & combined business within the UK Commercial SME Package line of business including shops & salons, leisure, manufacturing & wholesale, property owners, offices and surgeries.To handle fast flow referrals from digital platforms and scheme or facilities business. Adhere to service level agreements and provide first class service to the team and to brokers.Responsibilities Resolve underwriting queries within agreed authority Service business to a high standard and within Service Level Agreements Adhere at all times to underwriting and pricing authorities, standards and business rules Maintain a comprehensive electronic file for each referral and ensures all documentation is stored in a consistent and compliant manner Assist with any changes and testing required on the Acturis System Ensure good product and system knowledge is maintained Contribute to the SME Package production and profitability metrics Comply with key regulatory, conduct and risk management requirements and responsibilities Be proactive and self-motivated to manage daily workloads Requirements Educated to a minimum of GCSE standard or equivalent Experience of underwriting in a commercial SME package environment is preferred Knowledge of Property & Casualty lines of business Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions Experience of working with digital trading platforms preferable For more information, please contact Jamie Watson at Clearline Recruitment.
