Job Description

Robert half is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to be based in South Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for for a part qualified ACCA, CIMA or AAT candidate who is looking for a varied role with a large international business.Duties will include:

  • Running of daily bank downloads, compilation of group bank balances and reporting on both of these.
  • Report on daily sales. Cashbook processing and payments.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Invoice processing
  • Rebate analysis, chasing suppliers and cash allocation.
  • Analysis of internal debit note claims, verifying correct claims and authorising the repayment
  • Liaise with Financial Controllers around the business
  • Intergroup transfers.
  • VAT returns
  • Provide auditors with access to the information they require.
  • Month end and year end journal processing.
  • Accounts preperation knowledge
  • Assist with annual budgeting and year end process
  • Adhoc work
Profile
  • Strong excel skills
  • Ideally ACCA, CIMA or AAT part qualified
  • Strong communicational skills
  • Keen eye for detail
