Job Description

Our clients dynamic national non-contentious Asset Based Lending (ABL) team is fast becoming one of the most respected litigation practices within the financial services and alternative finance space, and luckily they are recruiting!The team is on the look-out for a Principal Associate or Legal Director to assist with their continued growth and sector specialism. This is a brand new and exciting role to support the firms strategic investment into their financial services sector withthis role sitting as part of their national Dispute Resolution and Litigation department.The Firm:

  • A a top 40 law firm with over 200 partners and around 1,500 staff in total.
  • They have 13 locations in the UK and a significant international network.
  • Their clients include some of the largest financial, automotive, and technology businesses in the UK.
The Role:
  • You would be expected to hit the ground running with existing relationships within the ABL market across the whole range of financial service providers (from clearing banks, to mid-market to independents) and alternative finance industries but would begiven high levels of support and encouragement.
  • The ABL teams work alongside the well-respected and market leading asset finance, banking and real estate teams.
  • The work on offer has a niche within ABL litigation as well as exposure to mainstream financial services and banking litigation matters as well.

  • This is an excellent platform to assume matter responsibility and there is ample opportunity to participate in client development initiatives.
The Team:
  • The Dispute Resolution and Litigation team have highly skilled specialists with the expertise to solve whatever contentious problem you are facing.
  • The non-contentious Asset Based Lending (ABL) team presently comprises three partners and three associates and following the appointment of an ABL litigation specialist partner in London, there is existing work and the opportunity to grow and developthe practice further
  • They cover a broad range of specialisms including commercial litigation, contract disputes, fraud, professional negligence, public procurement challenges, insurance, IT, and lending and banking disputes.
  • Though based across several locations, they work nationally as one, with support required across office and practice group.
  • The national team is well known for the responsibility, client contact and freedom it gives to its legal advisers. It consistently promotes its lawyers year on year.
