Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Air Conditioning Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Air ConditioningIndustry Sector: Air Conditioning Installers, M&E Contractors, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Wholesalers, Copper, Ductwork, Fittings, Grills and LaggingArea to be covered: MidlandsRemuneration: £35,000-£40,000 + £5,000 BonusBenefits: Fully expensed hybrid or Electric car + full benefits packageThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Air Conditioning will involve:

  • Field sales position selling our clients distributed range of air conditioning systems and ancillaries
  • 70% of your time selling into a/c Installers, 30% M&E Contractors
  • Promoting new product offering
  • 80% of your time new business but selling into existing customers (who have bought ventilation systems)
  • 20% account managing existing air conditioning projects that have commenced before field sales representation
  • Targeted to achieve £800,000 revenue
  • Mix of 60% commercial and 40% high end residential projects
  • Order values circa £2,000-£3,000 residential and £6,000-£7,000 for commercial (anyone who needs air conditioning; hospitals, offices, hotels, public buildings etc.)
  • One day a week admin from Birmingham office, Four days on the road
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Air Conditioning with:
  • Must have sold air conditioning systems or refrigeration systems and ancillaries
  • Minimum 2years field sales experience
  • Autonomous approach
  • Solutions sales background, must be able to sell whole system, not just a box shifter
  • Understanding technical aspects of air conditioning (different spec of copper etc.)
  • Sold into installers and/ or M&E contractors
  • Diligent, trustworthy and reliable
