Job Description

Admissions AdvisorLocation: Fort Dunlop, B24 9FDSalary: up to £27,000 (DoE)Why do we want youWe are looking for Admissions Advisors to recruit prospective students to our globally recognised professional programmes. You’ll have a consultative, professional approach, an ability to meet challenges head-on, and a passion for supporting students’ ambitions through professional education.A bit about us.CLT International is a global provider of education for professionals working in financial services. The company is UK-based with a global student community and is a subsidiary of Wilmington plc (a global information and education business). The core of our business is to provide education and development opportunities to professionals worldwide, in partnership with a professional membership body (STEP) and other commercial stakeholders. Supporting both individuals and firms worldwide, CLTI has trained over 15,000 individuals and maintains relationships with some of the world’s largest financial and legal institutions, regulatory bodies and government departments.In the role you will be the first point of contact for each and every student so a tenacious go getter attitude is a must. Due to the international nature of this role, working hours can be flexible (within 07h00 to 19h00 Monday to Friday). You may also be required to work on a weekend or evenings, should it be business requirements or need.Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and respond to incoming leads, prospective and progressing/retained students and work progressively to close the sale to registration on a programme, through execution of our contact strategies
  • Communicating appropriate information about our programmes to prospective students and knowing when to escalate a query in order to take the student through our admissions process to registration
  • Determine appropriateness of applicants for admission based on our admission requirements and career goal compatibility
  • Conducting follow-up activity with prospective students to ensure they can, and do, successfully complete the admissions and registration process
  • Closely assist and support students through the admissions process to registration and hand-over to the Operations and Quality team for delivery of our qualifications and content to the student
  • Will represent CLTI, STEP and our global partners to the best of your ability, keeping in mind that you need to protect the integrity, brand and reputation of all our stakeholders through every engagement with prospective students.
  • Will be able to attend marketing and other promotional events elsewhere in the UK where required.
  • We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.You will also need;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with our students and client base to take them through the admissions and purchase process
  • Ability to understand education frameworks and partnerships and how the value proposition, benefits and features can best be articulated
  • Experience in sales and customer service - desirable
  • Desire to learn about our business, partners and students
  • Ability to utilise creative problem-solving skills to overcome any obstacles while guiding potential students through our course enrolment process.
