Job Description

Closing Date - 07/02/2021The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Accreditation team is responsible for creating and managing the system that will enable approximately 80,000 people to perform their duties and participate at the Games.Birmingham 2022 are looking for an experienced and data driven Analyst to support the Accreditation department in the development and documentation of all business processes and act as the central point of contact between Technology and Accreditation departments for all system related scoping, testing, training, implementation and operational issue management.The successful candidate will lead on the scoping, testing, implementation and maintenance of all Accreditation information system requirements including the Accreditation Games Management Systems (GMS), in partnership with the B2022 Technology department. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the review and refinement of all Accreditation systems functional specifications and associated documentation ensuring that they represent the needs of the Accreditation department
  • Be the Accreditation Systems Lead in supporting the Accreditation department in the collation and creation of all Accreditation reports
  • Act as the Accreditation lead and point of contact for all User Validation (UVT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support the Accreditation department in leading the development of all business processes, particularly in relation to the processing of participant data through the various stages of their Accreditation journey
  • Develop Accreditation system training materials and conduct training of all core users on the relevant system including Train-the-Trainer sessions
  • Act as central liaison between Accreditation department and Technology department and lead decision making for all system related projects and issues
  • Lead on the collation of system configuration data within the Accreditation team
  • Skills and Experience RequiredEssential
  • Proven project, risk and business management skills, and a working knowledge of project management tools.
  • Displays flexibility and adaptability to develop improvements to existing systems and processes to achieve greater output and efficiencies.
  • Ability to work with, and influence, external partners and stakeholders and successfully facilitate joint decision-making.
  • Highly numerate, excellent IT skills, detail-conscious, articulate and well-organised.

  • Direct practical experience of providing technical/operational accreditation expertise to major sports events or equivalent events.
  • Detailed technical knowledge and understanding of multi-sport accreditation requirements.
