Job Description

Closing date - 07/02/2021Birmingham 2022 is looking for a Client Service Accreditation Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Accreditation Management team who will build and operate a world-class accreditation system to deliver a spectacular Commonwealth Games. The purpose of this role is to manage the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Accreditation processes for all eligible participants and to ensure that all they are registered for Accreditation in a timely manner.The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Accreditation team is responsible for creating and managing the system that will enable approximately 80,000 people to perform their duties and participate at the Games. To be successful in this role you will need to build close working relationships with a large number of in-house departments (Functional Areas), external organisations and manage a team of Client Service Coordinators. You will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of an effective and efficient Accreditation process for the Games Family client groups (Athletes and Team Officials, Guests, Media, Technical Officials, International Federations and Sponsors) and Games workforce (paid staff, contractors, volunteers, and security services).Responsibilities

  • Lead a substantially sized team to work with the Organising Committee in gathering a large amount of Accreditation requirements.
  • Manage the planning, development, and implementation of an effective and efficient Accreditation program for all Games Family and Games Workforce participants
  • Responsible for the day to day oversight and management of the Client Service team
  • Manage workloads within the team and identify training needs and areas for continuous improvement
  • Work closely with the key functional areas to integrate processes to provide a seamless and professional accreditation experience for al client groups
  • Develop and implement the Games Family and Workforce Accreditation privilege matrix.
  • Develop registration procedures, application forms, manuals, and related documents

  • Strong experience in leadership.
  • Highly numerate, excellent IT skills, detail-conscious, articulate and well-organised.
  • Proven project, risk and business management skills, and a working knowledge of project management tools.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary organization and to build active, cooperative partnerships with external organisations in an integrated manner.
  • Displays flexibility and adaptability to develop improvements to existing systems and processes to achieve greater output and efficiencies.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic working environment, handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work with, and influence, external partners and stakeholders and successfully facilitate joint decision-making.

  • Detailed technical knowledge and understanding of multi-sport accreditation requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of multi -sport accreditation, systems, strategies and plans.
  • Excels at managing accreditation operations on venue in a high-profile multi-sport event.
  • Recognised expertise and experience in accreditation aspects of event planning in multi-sport events with substantial experience.
  • Direct practical experience of providing technical/operational accreditation expertise to major sports events or equivalent events.
