Walters People have currently partnered with a European leading business based in Birmingham city centre in the recruitment of an interim Accounts Payable Team Leader. The role is being recruited on a 6 month FTC paying up to £34k and will offer hybrid working.Walters People have currently partnered with a European leading business based in Birmingham city centre in the recruitment of an interim Accounts Payable Team Leader. The role is being recruited on a 6 month FTC paying up to £34k and will offer hybrid working.Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Team Leader:* Responsible for the day-to-day management of the agents accounts payable team with direct line management of 5 staff* To ensure that the creditors ledger is operated accurately, efficiently and to agreed timescale, and ensure that the creditors are paid accurately and on time* To ensure smooth operation of the weekly payment runs and adequate checks to ensure that the correct payments are made to the correct creditors* Oversee the production of relevant weekly and monthly reports and prepare monthly financial analysis on payments and expenditure to internal stakeholders* To be proactive and take initiatives to review and make suggestions to improve processes and procedures in relation to accounting systems, reconciliation processes and procedures and to drive best practice* To provide excellent customer service, manage and maintain good relationship with the internal and external stakeholders, in particular our key suppliersThe successful candidate will have the following:* At least one years experience of managing an accounts payables team* Exceptional attention to detail* Excellent organisational skills* The ability to build relationships across teams* Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative* Ability to explore/interrogate, understand and improve processes* Strong analytical, negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills to help resolve queries and issues* Strong team management and process management skills.* Relevant accounts payable knowledge and experience of control account reconciliations* Intermediate to advanced Excel skillsThis role is managed by Walters People entity which is a temporary recruitment agency.
