Job Description

Job title: Accountant6 Months Contract Competitive Day rate Birmingham or York (Flexibility to WFH)Advantage Resourcing are working closely with a leading IT organisation recruiting for 2 Qualified Accountants to join their dynamic team, based in Birmingham or York.The Role:

  1. You will be joining a major project in aligning 3 Billing systems into 1 system
  2. You will be part of a project integrating 3 company financial accounts
Main Duties:
  • Primarily relates to working with our recent acquisitions where teams are leaving
  • Document every process managed by the finance team
  • Understand the accounting transactions
  • Detailed description of each activity
  • Detailed descriptions of the systems used and key contacts
  • Audit preparation
  • Gathering reports for each element
  • Creating backup files
  • Create audit repository for each company within the structure
  • Detailed instructions on where the data has come from, and how to get it
  • Validation of data ready for the statutory audit
  • Document payroll processes - ready for integration into the centralised payroll team
    • Successful Accountant:
  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by experience
  • Ideally strong Project experience of integrating different company Accounts and Re-aligning Billing systems
  • Excellent communicator
  • Proven track record of producing audit quality statutory accounts.
  • Experience within external or internal audit.
  • Strong process and controls focus.
  • Ability to implement change and identify improvements to process and controls.
