Job Description

Reed are currently partnering exclusively with a reputable client in search of a dedicated part timeAccountantto join their finance team. This role is integral to the company’s operations, involving the preparation ofmanagementaccounts, collaborating with senior management tomonitor performance and costs, and handlingmonth-end and year-end accounts. This position offers a blend of remote work with a requirement to be in the office oneday a week.Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 pro-rataLocation: B3, Birmingham -HybridJob Type: Part-time (25 hours per week, flexible)Day to day of the role:

  • Prepare and analysemanagement accounts, providing insights to senior management
  • Overseemonth-end and year-endaccount preparation, ensuring financial reporting accuracy
  • ConductVAT returnpreparation and ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Accurately input supplier and consultantinvoices
  • Manage fullsales ledgerprocessing for complex consultancy services
  • Performcredit controlactivities to maintain healthy cash flow
  • Work closely with senior management to inform financial decisions and strategies
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency with theXeroaccounting package is essential
  • Solid experience in full accounting cycle management, includingmanagement accountspreparation
  • Familiarity withVAT returnsandsales/purchase ledgerprocessing
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial data handling
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
