Job Description

Gleeson are delighted to be partnering with our client, a well respected not-for-profit business in Birmingham. This company plays a pivotal role in attracting tourism and investment opportunities into the West Midlands region. They are looking for an AccountManager to join their team.Working within the Strategic Relationship Management Team, you will be looking after one of the companys main accounts, acting as a subject matter expert for that account and also advising other account managers on any issues.You will be responsible for project managing and reporting on the delivery of the key contract that the client delivers as a partner. You will also be the accounts services knowledge point person for the wider SRM team.You will also be required to undertake account management responsibilities for West Midlands businesses with the potential to expand in the region. This role includes a CRM updating and status reporting function."What will I be doing day-to-day"

  • Providing a professional, knowledgeable point of entry into the West Midlands Growth Company for stakeholders.
  • Building relationships at C-Suite level within the private and public sector.
  • Using your experience of West Midlands key sectors to add depth/insight to C-Suite dialogues.
  • Building strong and trusting relationships with the clients accounts by continually adding value, keeping them aware of developments, news and events, that may be of interest.
  • Working collaboratively with public sector stakeholders including Local Authority and Department of Business & Trade teams to support the managed accounts.
  • Ensuring timely follow up and resolution of actions raised from client engagements.
  • Use of the CRM (customer relationship management) systems efficiently and effectively to ensure regular and effective evaluation of activity for all accounts managed.
  • Recording all engagement, interactions, meetings, phone calls and emails using the CRM.
  • Engaging with key industry associations and trade bodies when relevant.
