Job Description

Job Title: Academic Development TutorLocation: BirminghamSalary: £27,929 - £31,411 per annum - SS4.Job type: Permanent - Full-time.UCB has a unique collaborative partnership with the University of Warwick - Ranked sixth in the 2022 Guardian League Tables and named the runner-up in the Times University of the Year 2022 and the Times University of the Year 2022 for Teaching Quality. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University College Birminghams CASE (Centre for Academic Skills and English) team as an Academic Development Tutor. You will be joining a highly-regarded team at an exciting time in UCBs development, which hasseen the opening of several first-class teaching/ study environments.The Role:As a key part of the Learning Services directorate, you will join the team to provide 1:1 academic support for FE/HE students, in addition to providing bespoke academic skills support for groups/ in workshops. You will also contribute to the developmentof our high-quality online support packages.Candidate Requirements:You will have experience of supporting students with their academic skills in an HE educational setting and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be expected to approach your duties proactively.Benefits:
