Job Description

AAT ApprenticeAre you considering an apprenticeship in accountingDains are recruiting an apprentice to join our successful and expanding Evolve team, based at our Birmingham office.WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIPAn apprenticeship programme allows you to learn while you earn. The programme is designed for you to gain real work experience whilst studying for your chosen qualification.WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I STUDY You will be studying towards your Level 3 and 4 AAT qualifications.Achieving an AAT qualification guarantees a strong understanding of accounting and demonstrates your ability to provide this service to your everyday role.This qualification is an essential step towards studying the ACCA qualification.HOW LONG WILL IT TAKEThe AAT qualifications will take between 12-36 months depending on the level qualification you study. Each AAT level takes roughly 12-18 months to complete and is the start of your journey to becoming ACCA qualified.You will study your AAT qualifications whilst gaining vital commercial and professional experience working alongside Dains Evolve experts.WHO ARE DAINS ACCOUNTANTSDains are a firm of chartered accountants & business advisers, who form part of Dains group of companies.   • Studying towards your AAT qualifications.
  • To present basic knowledge of the accountancy profession
  • Preparing VAT returns from information provided by clients.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and processing their financial information.
  • Using accounting softwares such as Sage and Xero to prepare client accounts.
  • Analysing account figures and spotting occurring trends.
WHAT PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES DO I NEED
  • English and Maths qualifications at GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A positive, pro-active and willing attitude
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • A flexible approach to working.
