Job Description

The road to recovery in the travel, leisure and hospitality industries arent going to be easy. Gaining customer trust, winning back business against competitors who are undercutting prices, finding new suppliers after many supply partners have unfortunately closed their doors for the final time. These are some of the challenges that you will face. Not to mention the number of employees who have moved sectors. The odds are stacked against these industries, the support isnt entirely there and the light at the end of the tunnel is dim, barely visible, almost a dot...Fortunately, those odds are exactly what you strive on. The fact that this will be hard is something that really gets you excited and something that you have faced for most of your career. What is the point in going into something that is so "BAU"As the Financial Controller in the business, youre ideally gong to be someone who has worked within the industry. Someone who has dealt with regulators and someone that is a strong people person. The industry is built on friendly faces, which is built in to the brand. At the heart of that resilience, that stoic attitude that has allowed this business to still thrive, is the finance team. The Financial Controller, as the number one finance person in the business with a progression plan laid out to become an FD, needs to live and breathe the culture. Youll be dealing with the CEO and Operations Manager on a regular basis, not to mention the suppliers and customers. Therefore, you will be the one person who will have an overview of the entire operation. There is a requirement to manage a team and support their development, as well as get involved in the day to day and month to month activities of every finance team. What were not looking for is someone who likes to take a "hand off" approach, were all one team here, meaning that everyone mucks in together, so processing the odd invoice isnt going to be out of the ordinary. In an ideal scenario, we would be looking for someone that is qualified in either ACCA/CIMA/ACA however, someone that is a finalist or not quite finished with their studies would also be considered. On offer would be a competitive salary of up to £55k, plus other benefits too.If this is something that would be of interest, get in touch on .#ASmarterWayToRecruit
