Job Description

Senior Duty Manager, Birmingham AirportAn excellent role for a Senior Duty Manager within the airport/airline industry to lead the duty management team at Birmingham Airport, overseeing the efficient running of this leading airlines front of house operation.Senior Duty Manager - Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the duty management team whilst liaising with service providers to ensure the highest standard of customer service across the entire operation. Play an essential role in achieving on time performance targets, ensuring delivery of a seamless and exceptionalcustomer experience across all areas of ground operations.
  • Deputise for Station Manager as required to attend key operational meetings and assist with budgets.
  • Manage the performance KPIs and resourcing of duty management team.
  • Ensure service providers are adhering to strict safety and operational guidelines.
  • Investigate and make recommendations for improvements to enhance service and improve efficiencys.
Senior Duty Manager - Skills & Experience Required:
  • Must have management experience gained in an airline or airport; ideally with experience leading customer facing, operational teams.
  • Experience of driving high performance teams, and people leadership.
  • Excellent administrative skills, including resource planning, performance management, and service level agreement monitoring.
  • Strong track record of ownership and effective management of service providers.
  • Enthusiastic, with a drive to succeed and inspire a high performing customer focused team.
  • Reliable with a willingness to be flexible according to the demands of a 7 day operation.
  • Resilient with the ability to adapt to change and thrive under pressure.
Senior Duty Manager - Additional Information:
  • On offer is a basic salary of circa £45k+, plus bonus.
  • Regular contractual hours are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, however as you will be overseeing a 24 hour a day operation, there will be time where you will need to work outside of these core hours.
  • 25 days annual leave
