Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst to join our busy team!Salary: £36,493About the Role:The Senior Application Support Analyst will provide technical support for the key applications used in Magenta Living including development, support, ongoing maintenance, and administration of all databases on database servers.You will monitor and optimise the performance of the databases ensuring that they meet business requirements and be responsible for 3rd line application support and continuous improvement of existing systems.Senior Application Support Analyst Requirements:

  • We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role and an IT related qualification.
  • The successful candidate will have proven programming experience working in an IT development environment.
  • They will be able to analyse and implement customer requirements - preferably working to Prince2 or Agile Project Management Principles.
  • It is essential to have a working knowledge of technologies such as Oracle and SQL (including Microsofts SQL Server Reporting Services).
  • Experience in direct system integration using APIs or middleware would also be desirable. Experience of implementation / administration of housing / repairs specific software modules, currently Northgate Housing would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working with one or more Relational Database Management systems (RDMS) including Oracle 12c and Microsoft SQL Server is also required.
  • Applicants should have an enthusiastic, team focussed attitude with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet set objectives.
  • The successful candidate will also have a confident and customer first approach, as a key responsibility is to assist users to use application systems, products, and services most effectively.
