Job Description

A Housing Association based in Merseyside is looking for a Property Surveyor to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position and the successful candidate will hold a degree level qualification in Surveying, significant post qualification experience in Local Authority or Housing, understand of property and asset management legislation and ideally extensive experience in a similar role.The main purpose of the role is to deliver excellent quality planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes in line with the clients asset management strategy.The main accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following;To deliver excellent quality planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes in line with the asset management strategy. To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality asset management services.To effectively, plan and deliver under the direction of the asset management senior management a surveying service to Magenta Livings stock portfolio covering, but not limited to, responsive repairs surveys, empty property surveys, cyclical maintenance surveys, capital maintenance surveys and stock condition surveys. To undertake quality assurance inspections in the support of the delivery Magenta Livings responsive maintenance, cyclical maintenance and capital investment programmes.To provide property survey information as required and actively update the asset management system (Promaster).To ensure value for money is delivered through all projects.Experience of using both the NATFED housing Schedule or Rates and Northgate Housing Repairs module would be advantageous.The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills/attributes; Degree Level qualification in Surveying, ideally Chartered MembershipSubstantial post qualification experience.Substantive understanding of asset management legislation relating to the post.Experience in a similar role in a Housing Association or Local Authority.Previous experience of provision of maintenance and investment related surveying services.Contract administration of maintenance and improvement works.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering a starting salary of £35,603 per annum along with the below competitive benefits package;25 days annual leave entitlement (full time equivalent, pro rata for part time employees)Flexible BenefitsHealthcare Cash PlanPension SchemePaid Professional Membership FeesEmployee Recognition SchemeTalent Management Programmes and e-learning accessWellbeing and Employee Engagement initiativesFree parking at either our head office or main depotA subsidised on-site gymSo if this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up to date CV to or call Jamal at Service Care Construction on Not interested in this role but know somebody who could be Refer a friend today and receive up to £250 per referral if they are successfully placed by SC Construction!
