Job title: Mechanical Assembler, (training provided) Number of positions: 8+ Job location: Birkenhead, Shifts Mornings and Afternoons. Payrate: Mornings, £15.93 per hour / afternoons £18.80 per hour. Salary equivalent: Mornings 30,667 / Afternoons £36,187.Hours per week: 37 hour per week.Morning hours: 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 12pm on Friday.Afternoon Hours: 4pm to 12am Monday to Thursday, 10.00am to 3pm on Friday.Duration: Temporary to permanent.Start date: April 17th. Industries considered: All engineering or "hands-on" backgrounds - just need an understanding of tools the rest will be taught.Great opportunity to be fully trained as a Mechanical Fitter, all training provided.Client Summary:Leading manufacturer and front line supplier of powertrain products based in the UK and Ireland. Areas of expertise include brake and engine overhaul for locomotive.The Training:You will be given one weeks paid on the job bespoke training; you will learn everything you need to know about overhauling parts for the rolling stock industry, upon completion of the initial training your development will continue at work until you are a fullyqualified Mechanical Fitter. Position Summary: Stripping brakes, Couplers, Valves and engine parts within the Rail industry. You will be working in teams to breakdown mechanical systems on locomotive parts and rebuilding them.Roles can include:* Parts strip down or strip down of components and rebuild.* Fitting newly re-furbished parts back together. * Pars cleaning. * Various mechanically based task.* Using hand tools.
