Job Description

Legal Cashier needed to work for an established firm of solicitors based in Birkenhead.Duties: -

  • Applying Solicitors accounts rules
  • Checking Completion packs against ledgers
  • Processing completions through computer software and the bank.
  • Internal Client to Office transfers through computer software & the bank.
  • Payment of FP/CHAPS/BACS payments through computer software and the bank.
  • Posting of bills
  • Write-Offs
  • Processing and posting card payments.
  • General accounts enquiries
  • Dealing with telephone queries – Internal and External
  • Archiving
  • Banking
  • Filing
  • Various postings of searches
Experience required: -
  • Worked in a similar role for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work to a daily routine and prioritise additional tasks received.
  • A good working knowledge of the Solicitors Account Rules – essential.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Competence in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
