Job Description

Following a recent change, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to join our busy Our House Services team in Birkenhead!This role is on a permanent basis working 16 hours per week worked across Monday, Wednesday and Friday but candidates need to be flexible for any weekend work when required. The role involves working across our supported housing schemes in Wirral. The positionis based in residential properties which are easily accessible from most transport links with just a short walk from local bus routes.You will be responsible for providing a high-quality level of cleaning and environmental services to customers in our supported housing schemes predominantly but needs to be flexible for any weekend work when required.You will also be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing. Ensuring all void rooms are cleaned to the highest quality, ensuring all rooms are available to re-let at the earliest opportunitythis would include the use of an industrial carpet cleaner and the moving of furniture.Housekeeper Requirements:

  • Dealing with the public
  • Experience of cleaning large public areas.
  • Experience of using different types of cleaning equipment.
  • Customer Care skills
  • Basic IT skills, with the ability to email and send photographs
  • Ability to identify and report compliance issues and deal with immediately
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to carry out physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in an effective manner.
  • Attention to detail with high cleaning standards
  • Ability to plan and organise workload.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
  • Treat people with equal respect and practice equality and diversity.
  • Good attendance record and time keeping.
  • Post bound by strict confidentiality.
  • To wear Magenta Living identification card.
  • Work within Magenta Livings Lone Worker Policy
  • Understanding of the role of a registered provider of social housing.

  • NVQ (Cleaning)
  • Health & Safety Certificate
  • First Aid
  • COSHH
