Job Description

Head of IncomeLocation: BirkenheadSalary: £54,533Hours of Work: 37 per weekAbout the Company:A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, qualified and enthusiastic Head of Income to lead our Income Team.Reporting directly to the Assistant Director, Housing Services, you will be responsible for the leadership of, and strategic development taken by, the Income Team, including the collection of current rents, arrears pursuance for both current and former tenants, welfare benefits and financial inclusion, furnished tenancies and service charges. The team also provides a similar service to our smaller subsidiary company and provides support for shared ownership properties.About the Head of Income Role:You will help deliver organisational cultural change by inspiring and motivating key partners and colleagues to deliver our vision, values and strategic objectives, the Magenta Way. You will also ensure that the Income service remains customer focussed with a robust financial inclusion strategy that delivers real benefits to customers, whilst representing value for money. You will drive through changes required in response to the changing environment in order to maintain our high levels of income collection and effective support to customers.This role is on a permanent basis working 37 hours per week, based in our modern head office in Birkenhead, Wirral. The office is easily accessible from most transport links with just a short walk from Hamilton Square train station and local bus routes. Free parking is provided to staff either on site or nearby.Head of Income Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate persuasively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and manage a large and complex workload meeting strict deadlines
  • Managing people is key and you should be confident representing Magenta Living’s interests in meetings with partner agencies, contractors and consultants.
