Field Operations Manager- £33k - £36k & 25 day holiday- Engineering / Construction / Facilties beneficial but not essential- BirkenheadOverview:Day to day operations is pretty important aspect of all engineering companies, especially where there are field based engineers. Imagine a world without such Field Operations Managers, absolute chaos!On that basis we now have a truly unique opportunity for an Field Operations Manager to come in to a growing, diverse yet established business in a newly created role, where you can really make the role your own. A role that will link our production to the UK wide delivery of service and projects which field based engineers carry out in an SME environment.The role:As already mentioned, this is a newly created role that has been created as the business continues to grow and develop. Essentially, we manufacture our own products in Birkenhead which are then sent out and fitted / maintained all over the UK in a range of different sectors by a team of engineers.So this role is linking the production to the end delivery (the operations of the engineering side of the business), so you will be working closely with everyone in the business. So a lot within our manufacturing facility but also for the field based engineers carrying out the work.We really feel that improvements can be made in all aspects of this role and so we would want you to come in and share your ideas with us.The person:We are open to the person here. Ideally, you will have done a similar role within the engineering or construction sector, but not strictly essential. Someone who wants to make a new role their own, bring in some sharp ideas and make the business work better!We need someone who can take control of these roles, make sure the engineers are working as efficiently as they can, plan their days for them, manage their hours, manage the various projects that will come in and work closely with production.We dont need a massively technical person as we already have an Engineering Manager (who manages the technical hands on bits the engineers do), but more the day to day service delivery and making sure the engineers day is as efficient and productive as possible.The company:This is working for a growing company who have a worldwide presence and reputation in a pretty unique sector.
