Job Description

Enterprise Infrastructure Analyst £40,000BirkenheadShortList Recruitment are working with an industry-leading client based in Birkenhead who are recruiting for an Enterprise Infrastructure Analyst to join their growing team.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to and assist in maintaining a secure, stable and high-performance Enterprise-wide infrastructure for our client.You will be partially responsible for the support and maintenance of the entire infrastructure estate, comprising servers, storage, networks and data as well as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud-based offerings adopted by the company.A strong understanding of MS Windows Server Operating Systems from 2003 to the latest version available is essential, and should include:

  • Active Directory
  • DHCP
  • Distributed File Systems
  • DNS
  • Failover Clustering
  • File Servers
  • Group Policy Management
  • IIS
  • Printer Management
Other key skills required for the Enterprise Infrastructure Analyst:
  • Strong understanding the VMware vSphere Enterprise product suite and hypervisor technologies
  • Experience deploying, supporting, managing and monitoring Dell and HPE server hardware, storage and network products
  • An understanding of both wired and wireless local and wide area network technologies and protocols
  • Enterprise level backup and restore experience (Veeam B&R preferred)
  • Administration of on-premise and cloud-based Microsoft Exchange products including database replication and mail archive/filtering technologies.
  • Knowledge of general Disaster Recovery and BCP procedures
  • Strong communicator both verbal and written
  • Ability to get on well with co-workers
The role is paying up to £40,000 (DOE) & comes with a good benefits package. The role will be a hybrid model of home/office based working, with further remote working flexibility available long-term.The role is commutable from Chester, Deeside, Liverpool, Manchester, Runcorn, Preston, Warrington and Widnes.
