Job Title:Pricing Engineer(LCC)Location: BirkenheadDuration: PermanentShifts: Days (37 hours)Salary: 30-35kOur Engineering client based in Birkenhead have a permanent vacancy for a Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Pricing Engineer.Key Aim:To provide support within the company Services Division (SER) for the analysis of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) data. To optimise LCCs of rolling stock components and systems as part of scheduled maintenance, overhaul and refurbishment projects.Key Duties & Tasks:* Evaluation and optimisation of LCC data in support of specific project opportunities* Development of LCC tools to assist with preparation of maintenance / service offers, providing a link to standard FT full cost analysis appraisal tool* Consolidation and benchmarking of LCC data to allow easy top-level evaluation of LCC documents* Develop achievable LCC targets for inclusion in bids and tenders* Agree with FTs Centres of Competence (CofC), optimum component maintenance, overhaul and repair regimes in order to achieve the LCC targets* Identify improvements to maintenance practices using the principles of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS), life cycle costs (LCC) and Return on Experience (REX)* Monitor industry practices to identify process, maintenance and material changes that will improve rolling stock performance and achieve business objectives* Monitor the existing installed product base, identifying trends and field REX, for feedback to FTs CofC* Assist in the investigation of service performance issues* Technical liaison with FTs CofCs* Building databases and catalogues to improve standardisation and responsiveness* Working closely with international FT colleagues with RAMS/LCC responsibilityGeneral:* Adhere at all times to the companys Health, Safety & Environmental instructions and requirements* Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employees skills and abilities.Working Relationships:* Reports to Senior SER LCC Engineer, with functional responsibility to the Services Business Development Manager (based in FT UK)Requirements (Essential)
