Job Description

Assistant Director – DevelopmentLocation: BirkenheadSalary: £83,029 per annumHours of Work: 37 hours per weekAbout the Company:A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an inspirational housing professional to lead our Development Team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Business Growth and Resilience, the successful candidate will drive the delivery of the company’s new build development programmes, to produce high quality, sustainable and affordable accommodation.The Assistant Director will support organisational cultural change by inspiring and motivating key partners and colleagues to deliver our vision, values and strategic objectives, and the philosophy of the Magenta Way.You will motivate, manage and ensure the professional development of the Head of Service and provide guidance and support to the Development Team.This role is on a permanent basis working 37 hours per week, based in our modern head office in Birkenhead, Wirral. The office is easily accessible from most transport links with just a short walk from Hamilton Square train station and local bus routes. Free parking is provided to staff either on site or nearby.Assistant Director Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Able to draw on experience to implement successful development planning
  • The successful candidate will have a relevant professional qualification such as RICS or CIOB and appropriate degree would be preferred.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle
  • Able to work flexibly including evenings and occasional travel to national events.
