Job Description

The CompanyOur client is a market leader in their field. Due to growth, they are now recruiting for a Shipping Coordinator.The Role

  • Support the Shipping Supervisor and help run the logistics operations across the site including all traffic, shipping paperwork. Ensure team comply with Laws, Regulations and ISO requirements.
  • Work as part of the team in completing necessary documentation to enable the transportation of dangerous goods by air, sea and road and contact freight forwarders for bookings and collection arrangements.
  • Be compliant in IATA, ADR and IMDG regulations.
  • Assist in DGSA services across TSS and HPL sites and collate and report any Dangerous goods related incidents.
  • Develop and report on KPIs and monitor OTIF to ensure goods are dispatched as per SSD.
  • Act as Shipping Supervisor when required.
  • Lead and develop the team.
  • Ensure the shipping team can demonstrate their competency in completing tasks and operations to the required company and legislation standards.
  • Develop individual KPIs for each team member.
The Person
  • Experience of working within Shipping/Logistics/Export in an administrative capacity.
  • IATA experience / qualification is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory requirements relating to the carriage of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials.
  • Understanding of the documentation requirements on an international level.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines/delivery timeframes.
  • Evidence of strong communication skills, including report writing.
  • Evidence of effective time management with regards to personal workload.
  • Evidence of ability to work in partnership with key personnel.
