Job Description

  • Deliver a professional procurement service to the business across all maintenance and overhaul streams.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of procurement strategies for all the engineering service categories
  • Act as lead buyer and be accountable for developing and implementing procurement strategies for engineering service contracts.
  • Lead cross discipline sourcing teams to ensure the qualification of suppliers. Approve the appointment of new engineering services, carrying out appropriate due diligence assessments (solvency, risk assessments etc) to support the decision.
  • Provide and advise the organisation on the most effective contract styles for a variety of work scopes, to minimise and manage residual risks and potential cost escalation during execution and ensure effective procurement processes are in place for contracts.
What we are looking for
  • Procurement experience across multiple spend categories: Opex, Capex Engineering services, with a good understanding about multi-discipline engineering contracts
  • Either Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Manufacturing/ or Engineering (HNC/ HND/ Degree or similar) or equivalent engineering buying experience within a chemical/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
  • Be highly motivated, adaptable and have a very high concern for ethical and business standards.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier performance management skills
