Job Description

Reed Construction is proud to represent a leading manufacturer in the metal industry thatis seeking a quality engineer to join their machine shop department.The quality engineer will:

  • Ensure that the products meet the highest standards of quality and safety by conducting inspections, tests and audits
  • Work closely with the production and engineering departments to identify and resolve any issues that may affect the quality of the products, such as defects, deviations, non-conformities, etc.
  • Have a bachelors degree in engineering or a related field, as well as at least three years of experience in quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal industry
  • Have excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as a keen attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Be familiar with various quality tools and methods, such as Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001, etc., and be able to apply them effectively to improve the quality processes and performance
  • Be able to use various software and equipment for quality control, such as statistical analysis software, measurement devices, etc
  • Ideally have a machining background with Faro Arm or CMM (preferable) experience
