Job Description

My client based in Wynyard is looking for a Procurement Admin to join their team on a permanent basis. Please note, this will be full time based at their offices, there are no options for hybrid or remote working. The main purpose of the role will be to acquire goods and services at the best possible prime cost that meet the requirements of the business and the project programme, deliver tender support ensuring competitive advantage, manage and lead local supplierrelationships and databases.Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Previous experience in the plumbing and/or the electrical supply sector is desirable but not essential
  • Inputting of purchase orders from requisitions
  • Inputting of overhead orders
  • Submission of enquiries to suppliers for material requiring pricing
  • Compilation of comparative prices to determine best value
  • Resolution of invoice queries
  • General administrative duties relating to the procurement process
  • Liaison with suppliers
  • Ensure all orders are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure that orders are raised utilising the correct commodity code and /or the correct product code contained within the coins purchasing system
  • Collaborative and a team player able to adapt to differing team dynamics
  • Be prepared to expand product knowledge and personal skills to meet the demands of the procurement process
  • Be proactive and be able to add value to the procurement process
  • Any other duties as required by the team
Technical Skills/Person Specification:
  • Good all round IT capability
  • Knowledge and understanding of the tender process
  • Knowledge of M & E Services industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of contracts
  • Working knowledge of products and new methods of installation
  • Knowledge of supply markets
  • Working knowledge of the construction process
  • Numerate with good communication skills
  • Commercially and financially astute
