Job Description

M&E Planner – £65 to £75k – BillinghamThe RoleSPIE UK, a smart engineering and technology-driven solutions provider for the built environment, are looking for an M&E Planner. The successful candidate will produce project plans for SPIE projects.The key responsibilities of an M&E Planner include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop the project plan, programme, and planning report in accordance with SPIE planning procedures.
  • In conjunction with the project team, develop the preconstruction and construction methodology to enable the most efficient and effective delivery of the project.
  • At agreed regular intervals report project progress against the contract and delivery programmes.
  • Support the project team in the creation of all programmes.
  • Support the Senior PM to produce a provide weekly project updates on progress and key issues.
  • Advising on critical issues and strategy as appropriate to the Senior PM
  • Assist in chairing the weekly planning meeting to coordinate project programmes, progress update, delay records and key milestones.
  • Review change proposals for time impact.
  • Assess and record time impacts of delays - Event Analysis.
  • The PersonThe key skills and qualities of an M&E Planner:
  • The successful candidate must have held a planning role with a minimum with extensive experience with NEC contracts
  • Educated within the M&E sector on pharmaceutical projects
  • Must have NEC 4 experience
  • Must have site experience within large scale projects up to £20m
  • Fluent in MS projects & P6
  • Experience within E&I & Process fabrication sector (Desirable)
  • Degree qualified (Desirable)
